Terms and Conditions

Please read the following terms and conditions carefully as they are binding for all ticket purchases.

By purchasing the ticket, you agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions of sale specified herein and any other provision as may be specified from time to time by Catch the Clock Escape Rooms (Pty) Ltd herein after referred to as “Catch the Clock”.


    1. You understand that Catch the Clock wants its players to tell their friends about the game experience, but you agree not to spoil other’s games by exploiting or sharing trade secrets. Catch the Clock requires all participants not to disclose details of the escape room game directly or indirectly to any other person. You acknowledge that all secrets and other important details of the Escape Rooms are trade secrets that are protected by intellectual property laws. You also agree to keep all the obtained information confidential and refrain from disclosing or publishing any information fully or in part to any third party.
    2. Participants are required to be present no less than 15 minutes before the scheduled start of their game.
    3. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied at least by 1 adult per game at all times.
    4. The game is designed for a team of 2-6 people per room per slot.
    5. Bookings can be made online on the Catch the Clock website. You are most welcome to telephone us but we kindly request the booking is made online as payments are processed electronically.
    6. To secure your booking a deposit of R440.00 is required.
    7. The remainder of the per-participant price will be payable upon your arrival before playing in the escape room. Kindly note that only card payments will be accepted.
    8. It is your responsibility to confirm the accuracy of your booking appointment(s). Refunds or cancelations due to incorrect booking schedules will be at the sole discretion of Catch the Clock.
    9. Booking fees shall not be refundable unless the cancellation or rescheduling was made at least 24 hours in advance unless exceptional circumstances exist.
    10. Late arrivals will have the amount of time equal to the time they have arrived late deducted from their 60 minutes in the Escape Room. Should any player arrive 25 or more minutes late, entry will be denied, and Catch the Clock will not reschedule such a session with the player but regrettably will need to charge the full per-participant price again.
    11. Catch the Clock uses reputable payment agents and will take all reasonable precautions to protect the security of any payment card information, however, Catch the Clock shall not be liable for any damage that you may suffer due to the loss or the loss of confidentiality of any such information. Catch the Clock’s website may contain hyperlinks to third-party websites. The operation of those websites is out of Catch the Clock’s control and you use them at your own risk.
    12. Catch the Clock collects and stores your personal details without disclosing it to any 3rd party and is dedicated to ensuring that the privacy of your personal information is protected. Catch the Clock, their agents, or employees shall not be liable for any death, personal injury, loss, or damage, however, caused while on the premises of Catch the Clock. Nor are they liable for any claims, or exchange for any reason of the tickets.
    13. You have voluntarily and expressly agreed to participate and/or play at Catch the Clock at your sole risk. To the fullest extent as permissible by applicable law; Catch the Clock disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to, implied warranties, merchantability or fitness for the operation of the Escape room.
    14. To the fullest extent permissible by applicable law; Catch the Clock including all employees or agents shall not be responsible for any risk, hazard, danger, security, safety and/or protection during your visit to Catch the Clock. You shall be solely responsible for your personal safety, security, body condition, disease transmission, pregnancy, and/or health condition while you participate and/or play in any of our escape rooms.
    15. You undertake not to carry or bring any dangerous, harmful, or hazardous object onto the premises including but not limited to explosive items, weapons, or items deemed dangerous or harmful to other visitors. In the event that such item or object is found, Catch the Clock including the employees or agents shall have the power, authority, and consent expressly granted by you to remove and confiscate such item or object and further decline or refuse your entry.
    16. You shall not enter the premises under the influence of drugs or intoxication, failing which Catch the Clock including the employees or agents shall reserve all rights and power to decline or refuse your entry to the premises. You shall bear all losses, damages, or legal costs from such incidents.
    17. All personal items/belongings shall be kept by you at your sole risk. In any event, Catch the Clock including the employees or agents shall not be held liable or responsible for any loss of your personal items/belongings, whilst on the premises. The risk of loss for your personal items/belongings shall be borne by you upon entrance to the premises.
    18. You undertake to complete the Escape Room in accordance with the instruction and rules specified by Catch the Clock, the employees, or agents. Failing which, Catch the Clock, the employees or agents shall have the right to seize your escape room experience and ask you to leave the premises without a refund.
    19. You shall not be allowed to record or capture any photograph, video or audio recording whatsoever before, during, or after your allocated slot in the escape room. If such recording activity is suspected or found whilst in the Escape Room Catch the Clock shall reserve the power, authority and consent expressly granted by you to delete, remove or transfer such recording to any device, media or hardware owned by Escape Room Owner. The copyright of such recordings will be deemed automatically granted by you to Catch the Clock.
    20. You agree to handle the facilities of Catch the Clock with good care. You accept that the Escape Room Owner has the right to seek full compensation in case of any attempt to cause damage or damage caused to the room, puzzles, or furnishings. You also understand that Catch the Clock has the right to terminate the game at any time if anyone of the players violates the rules or refuses to follow the employees’ instructions. You understand that no refund will be issued if Catch the Clock terminates the game.
    21. Participants will be liable for the cost of damages to the premises, rooms, or equipment from wilful damage or misuse of the property or as a result of failure to follow rules and/or instructions.
    22. The per-participant price of a game is stated on the Catch the Clock website in the Booking section. Catch the Clock maintains the sole right to change these prices from time to time at its sole discretion without prior notice.
    23. Food and drinks may not be brought onto the premises.
    24. The website ???????????????? is owned and operated by Catch the Clock. The company holds the right to amend or vary these Terms and conditions including any of the contents of the website from time to time at its sole discretion without prior notice.
